Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer, best known in the role of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The Bettle's Two's Company musical was the first stage production in which she appeared during her stage debut. In 1956, she got her first big break on Broadway with Li'l Abner. The album was released by her Too Late for Tina the following year. Louise began the first phase of her Hollywood career in 1958, when she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a drama film. It was a huge hit and Louise was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. During this time, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. The actress joined CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise had a long and successful career balancing Broadway TV with Hollywood and portraying an empathetic rather than the glamour doll image she had been portrayed as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series also featured her for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she's also earned an impact as a successful director in numerous well-known TV shows such as Supernatural or The 100. Born in Essex on August 28th 1965 and her family moved to Toronto when she was three which is where she spent the rest of growing up and in adolescence. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver, Canada after her selection for the role of lead.
